April is Here & So Am I!

Hi Everyone!

I have missed you all very much and for the past 2 weeks have been in Ireland with my family exploring the whole island!

I must say that leaving to go on holidays, for me, is always the hardest part.  I think about the BAZILLION things on my ‘To Do’ list (and anyone who truly knows me, knows how I make LONG lists to get through every day) and will there actually be enough time?

At some point, I finally give myself a break and say “Tammy, you have officially done all that you can and it’s time to just enjoy.”

This time was no different.  I realized that I really needed the break to recharge and just ‘BE’ with my family with no agenda and nothing but being present with each and everyone.

Now, here I am, in the present happy and rested and can’t wait to be with all my Zumba family again in the next few days!

I hope you can all make it out this week! All classes are on for the month of April and we shall shimmy and shake and have the weather warm up just as fast as it can!

It is so good for the heart and soul to stop and recharge from time to time!

SEE YOU ALL ON THE DANCE FLOOR!

Much love,

Tammyth

Health & Well Being, Personal Stories

I Am Under Construction…It Is A GREAT Thing!

I have discovered that everything in life, jobs, relationships, being alive, is always evolving and if I stay “static” or not moving in one area then everything eventually seems like it gets “stuck”. It becomes a force that is very hard to move forward.

The beginning of 2018 brought upon many incidents/accidents that have had me begin to re-evaluate much of what I have been working on.  Not like a problem, only that knowing when many challenges show up, sometimes it is like the universe’s way of saying “HELLO TAMMY!! Are you listening?”

The most prominent that started my year were 2 car accidents less than 2 month’s apart. Both times I was rear-ended and ended up with whiplash and concussions. The second time I was hit, my car that I just purchased less than 6 month’s prior to the accidents, it didn’t make it.

Being that I work primarily in the fitness industry this was very hard physically to see some of the limitations I was having after both accidents.  I had headaches regularly, my body was very sore constantly.  I would easily forget things I had just done or said in the first few weeks following these accidents. It was terribly frustrating at the time.

Thankfully, I know my body well and went directly to my chiropractor and medical doctor right after the accidents. I immediately got the support I needed and have bounced back extremely quickly so I can keep working doing what I love.

That being said, the accidents also opened something up for me. I realized I really had no back up plan if something were to happen that I didn’t “bounce back” again if something else were to happen. The question to myself was “If I am not able to dance anymore, then what?”

I realized this year that my passion is and always will be to support others in discovering what lights them up. Supporting others in finding the relationships they are looking for. Supporting people of all abilities to move and find their groove! Supporting others in making their dreams reality, whether it be fitness goals, relationships, financial, building businesses, creating extraordinary events, and so much more.

The company I have built, the Live OUT LOUD Movement, is so much more than just a fitness program based primarily in Zumba Fitness.

The Live OUT LOUD Movement is a LIFE MOVEMENT.

A place to take all that seems like heavy weights on our shoulders and discover the silver lining within them all to produce extraordinary results in the face of no agreement in life.

I truly believe that everything happens in our lives for a reason. Even all the “bad stuff” that I wish never happened. I see it as it had to happen to show me something that I couldn’t see was available before. In the moment, it never “feels” that way, however the true gift of this MOVEMENT is the opportunity to look more in-depth at what is happening and discover what I/we can’t see right away.  Discovering the knowledge that is hidden deep within what ails us to creating a strong and vibrant life that impacts ourselves and others by what is discovered!

I am in the process of rebuilding new aspects to the Live OUT LOUD Movement and new offerings over the next few months to really dive deep into what is possible through this company to help people in a unique way.

I hope you stick around to see what is next and how it all plays out. I will always continue to dance for as long as my body will let me, you can bet money on that and now is the time for me to take what I have built thus far and expand it far beyond where it is today!

EXCITING TIMES!

I'm under construction and loving it

Benefits of Movement

Have You Recently Moved to Working From Home?

I recently left my day job where I went into work for someone else.  The office was open concept and at minimum there were 3 of us working in the same space with the radio going in the background.  I used to think this drives me nuts and I can’t get anything done!

My thoughts have shifted quite a bit since then….I now work from home full-time and the only time I really go out of my work environment is to go teach a class which lasts one hour and then I head back to the office.  I use to have it that working from home was “the dream”.  Most recently I have found it to be frustrating and lonely.  Please do not get me wrong, I am not complaining, where I am looking is the adjustment that it takes to shift what you have known for years as a work environment to a radically different situation and the frustration and/or stress it may cause.

One of the struggles I have been up against is that when I made this change, there really was no room in our home that I could call my “office”.  This means that my office roams with me throughout our house….some days it is at the back of the house/music studio, other days my laptop and I meet on the couch, some days the kitchen is the perfect spot and most definitely in the summer my laptop and I will venture out to our back balcony! (Thank god for Wireless!!)

The struggle I am having right now is that my partner also works from home, however, when we bought our place, he built his office into it…..seperate entrance, 2 rooms, the whole nine yards…..when we bought our place I didn’t know I would be doing what I am doing now and didn’t plan for it.

The stress and frustration for me comes from working on a project and then I may leave it wherever I am working for a bit and in the meantime, my partner has come down and seen it sitting there and feels I am leaving messes of paperwork around.  I can see his point his valid from where he is looking. However, sometimes I need to walk away from a project and come back to it…..packing it up and then taking it back out a couple of hours later just doesn’t work for me.  We have disagreements now and are looking at ways to adapt to this new living with both of us at home and I see where the level of stress, in some aspects, has increased in life since making this move.

Why would I even share this?

It occurs to me that many people may struggle with this and at one time I thought this would never exist!  Where I get my stress-relief for myself while I work on figuring this out is to do exercise, teach classes, listen to killer awesome music and move my body.  When I get into a funk about it, I get into action.  Releasing healthy endorphins through movement and exercise is what gets me back up on the horse to look at what a solution may be.

Currently, I don’t have a solution….other than if the weather would warm up I would move my office permanently to the balcony and then I think we would both be happy! LOL!  Until then, there is movement…..there is fitness…..and whether in that moment I want to go or not, I make myself because the benefits at the end of 60 minutes of an awesome cardio kick-in-the-pants will have me smiling and laughing again instantly and ready to find a solution!

Whatever you are stressed about, you can think more clearly after a great workout!
