Anyone CAN Do It!

Recently I was in a conversation with someone who shared with me that they could not dance.  This statement always makes me wonder at what point in their life did they “make up” that they couldn’t?

Did someone tell them they couldn’t?

Did they try and felt foolish?

Do people ACTUALLY have 2 left feet? I have never seen that but for sure would love to sometime!

I often think that the judgements of not being able to do something is just simply put, a thought we have that we give power to.

I believe this when it comes to many things.

For me, dance is just a natural state. I often do not even realize when I walk across the floor that I will begin to “glide” (as my husband says)..I cannot help but move in a fluid motion, it has become natural.

I have recently taken on learning about finance and real estate. Why I bring this up is because when I started to learn, I had the thought “I cannot do this…this is hard”…and then I brought myself back to when someone tells me they cannot dance and my belief that everyone can…(even if it is to their own drum..they are STILL dancing).

Taking on that anyone CAN learn and do new things has opened me up to see that I am actually very capable of learning in the world of finance and real estate!

I do prefer to dance. I am more comfortable dancing, however, I am learning to not be limited!

Dancing teaching us flow. Flow through life, problems, happiness, sadness, breakthroughs and breakdowns.

It’s All About Fitness!

I can honestly say when I was really young I loved to dance and did so for many years. Then in high school, it all shifted and I could care less about working out.  Thank goodness there was one more shift and I found dance again!

When you are moving your body, whether it be to dance, in boot camp, running, swimming you are releasing the HAPPY healthy endorphins through your body.  I cannot say this enough times how great this is.

I was talking with a client just the other day and we were talking about how good we feel after class.  I was telling her how some days I have the thought that I would rather not have to go to class that day.

NOTE: Yes, your instructors have this thought too. Do not think that we are immune to that!

Of course I do go and after every class….actually the moment the first person arrives my energy begins to shift and as soon as the first note of the song comes pumping out of my stereo, I am energized and the healthy endorphins begin to flow.

It does not matter at what age you are currently at, what level of fitness you are at, everyone can work out.  Some may need to modify the moves and that is totally do-able! Get up today and get moving and go into your weekend feeling amazing!

Excuses Will Not Produce Results

We all have reasons for why things don’t turn out or why we can’t do something.  For many people, it is just a natural reaction to be asked to do something.  You can think of all the reasons why not before you can see why you can!

I played a game a while ago and instead of coming up with an excuse for why I couldn’t do things or why they wouldn’t turn out, I would say “yes that works!” or ” I can do that!” Giving up all my considerations in any specific area can open up a new area of your life you may not have seen before!

I saw that I was a leader and could produce outstanding results in my life the moment I stopped making excuses!

Take it on as a challenge. For example if you say, I can only do one fitness class a week…..take on two for the next 3 weeks, then take on 3 for the following 3 weeks!  See what you have to do or create to make it happen and then just make it happen!

Watch the results begin to show up on you physically and mentally! AMAZING!!

We Are All Busy…Make Time!

Let’s face it…..we are ALL busy.

Whether it’s because of family, children, work, school, pets, commuting, we all have commitments that involve time and us being busy!

Some of the busiest people in the world still make time for their workout.  It may take you some time to sort out what time and which workout really supports you and your schedule but I promise you the busiest people workout because they know the benefit of taking care of themselves first really does make them more productive and focused in their day.
