Self-care Comes FIRST

Seriously, this gets missed A LOT by MANY people!

Speaking from my own experience, I have a tendency to put everyone in my life’s needs before my own & by the end of the day, I am spent with no energy to give back to myself.

Recently, I have been switching it up.

Checking in with myself each MORNING & ensuring what I need from myself for the day, I get.

What this has shown me is that I am still able to be there & support others like I always did (if not even better now) & all my own personal needs are taken care of & I do not waiver from ensuring they are in a timely manner everyday!

So do what you need to do to take care of yourself FIRST & then watch how much easier it is to be there for others!

Benefits of Movement

What inspires you?

For many years I wasn’t sure how to answer this question.  I didn’t feel very inspired by much if anything. I went from job to job, looking for that “thing” that I could say “THIS IS IT!! I am so happy and will stay working hours after I need to because I love this sooooo much!!!”

Yes. That NEVER happened!

While I have enjoyed many of the “jobs” I have had along the way and have learned many a skill that will come in handy, anything from serving tables, to booking appointments, to working on people’s eyes, setting up a charitable or not for profit organization, I had yet to find that “thing” that had me completely inspired.

What I am clear I have learned from taking on all these different jobs is that I love to make a difference for people. I am a people person and I love to be with people. I love seeing them light up when something is done for them or they figure out something that was once challenging to them!

The LOL Movement really came out of an excitement and passion to see people having fun and taking on their health….usually not even realizing they were taking on their health!  When I saw that who I am is someone who loves to make a difference for others, the solution to my “what inspires me?” question, became evident!  I am committed that people have a clear path to reducing their stress and to be able to have fun just feeling “ALIVE!”

When you can hear and feel a rhythm begin to dance through your body, you can begin to feel the stress of your day melt right off you.  When you can be with others who can feel that rhythm too and you all begin to smile and sway, life can become pretty grand!

Dancing may not be for everyone, but for me, it is an incredible escape into culture and movement that my body desires to feel alive.

Never give up on looking for what inspires you….you may find it when you least expect it!
